About CO-Lights

Lighting Up Denver, One Home at a Time

CO-Lights exists for one simple reason: lighting should feel intentional, not improvised.

We work with property owners across the Denver area who want exterior lighting that looks considered and stays put. Our projects are designed to feel natural once installed, not like something added at the last minute.

Some people first hear about us while searching for holiday lighting, but most of our work goes beyond a single season. We help clients think through how their property looks at night, how light moves across it, and where it actually makes sense to add illumination.

Where the Work Comes From

This company did not start with a brand strategy or a sales pitch.

CO-Lights began in 2021 when Dylan Van Buskirk noticed a pattern: many exterior lighting installs looked rushed, uneven, or poorly planned. The solution was not more lights, but better decisions about placement, spacing, and durability.

Early jobs came through referrals. One project led to another. Over time, the work expanded to include homes, storefronts, and larger properties throughout the Denver Metro Area.

Growth came from referrals and repeat customers, not advertising.

How We Decide What to Install

Before anything is mounted, we spend time observing.

We look at rooflines, surfaces, distance, and how the space is actually used. We ask questions about what matters visually and what does not. This approach keeps designs grounded and prevents over-lighting.

Our lighting projects focus on:

  • Balance instead of brightness
  • Consistent spacing instead of visual clutter
  • Installations that hold up through wind, snow, and temperature changes

Permanent options, including systems like Gemstone Lights are offered when they make sense for the property, not because they are trendy.

What Clients Tend to Appreciate

People who work with CO-Lights usually mention the same things afterward.

We explain what we’re doing in plain terms.
We show up when scheduled.
We don’t leave loose ends.

Properties are treated like finished spaces, not temporary job sites. That mindset carries through every phase of the work.

IT Starts With a Conversation

Not every lighting project needs to be complicated. Some are straightforward while others need planning.

Either way, the first step is a conversation about the space, not a sales pitch.
